Buying a Home

Buying a home is exciting!  It is also complex and sometimes frustrating.  I have found that when my clients are well informed, the experience is much more pleasant.  With that in mind, please carefully examine this "typical" home buying scenario:

  • You'll be working with your own "buyer's agent" who will represent your interests in finding, negotiating, and following the purchase through closing.

  • After discussing your real estate needs, I will give you detailed print outs of all available properties falling within your parameters.

  • You'll have access to all of my mortgage lenders both for pre-approval and for the answers to all of your financial questions.

  • After you've looked at properties and have begun to narrow your search, I'll collect all the available data including market analysis information and tax records on any specific property you might be considering.

  • When you're ready to prepare a purchase offer, I'll assist you in planning a strategy and in negotiating a favorable price and terms.

  • I'll offer you a list of preferred attorneys and home inspection companies.

  • I'll assist you with the mortgage process, including following up with appraisers and mortgage processors.

  • Every attempt will be made to make your home buying experience as pleasant and hassle free as possible.  I will be with you every step of the way.

Here are the things you can expect from me:

  • YOUR NEEDS, INTERESTS, AND OBJECTIVES WILL BE MY TOP PRIORITY.  I will want to learn what is important to you, so I can help you attain your real estate goals.

  • YOU'LL HAVE ACCESS TO EVERY HOME listed for sale in this area (or just about anywhere in the world).  I can also help you seek out unlisted properties and new construction.

  • I KNOW THE NORTHWEST SUBURBS and I'm happy to pass along what I know to you!  I am a Northwest Suburban resident, and am familiar with the towns, schools, parks, and organizations that help you make a house your home.

  • I KNOW REAL ESTATE!  I am full time, fully trained, and experienced to help you with your offers, contracts, riders, contingencies, negotiating, and taxes.

  • I WILL GIVE YOU RELIABLE INFORMATION and solid advice so that you can make informed decisions.  Please don't hesitate to ask questions. 

  • COMMUNICATION IS MY STRENGTH.  While we're looking for a home, while your offer is being negotiated, and right up to and including closing, I'll keep track of all the details and let you know what's going on.

  • I'LL BE BY YOUR SIDE to help you find the right house, estimate its fair market value, structure an offer and negotiate the most favorable terms for you.

  • I REPRESENT YOU and do not practice "dual agency" providing you with a "conflict" free transaction.  I will work for your best interest at every stage of the home buying process.
